If you haven’t already watched SC Paderborn this season, make sure to catch up. It’s a joy to watch this team play football. They are playing some of the best football in the league, and honestly, the level of play is better than that of some teams in the Bundesliga. Very fluid, very entertaining, with clear chemistry between the players. There are also several interesting profiles in the squad. • Mika Baur (21, CM) • Santiago Castaneda (21, CDM) • Filip Bilbija (26, CAM) • Dennis Seimen (20, GK) • Stefano Marino (22, ST) • and Laurin Curda (24, RWB) are all worth keeping an eye on. Credit also goes to Ralf Kettemann, who has implemented this style of play since arriving last summer. Highly recommended to watch this team.

🚨 𝗕𝗨𝗬. 𝗧𝗛𝗘. 𝗗𝗜𝗣. 𝗚𝗨𝗬𝗦. 🚨 VfL Wolfsburg are officially relegated to the 2. Bundesliga. And let me tell you, they have some quality players who should not be playing in the second division. Many of them looked uncertain, were in the wrong environment, and simply did not feel comfortable. But the potential and talent in these players are still there. And because of the relegation, many of them probably won’t even be too expensive to sign. In my opinion, at least 70% of this squad doesn’t belong in the 2. Bundesliga. A nightmare for Wolfsburg. But a huge opportunity for many other clubs.

📑9/9📑 Preben Blondeel ▪️17 y/o ▪️CB ▪️Jong KAA Gent ▪️Left-footed ▪️🇧🇪 A left-footed centre-back is always interesting, and Preben Blondeel definitely is. Physically strong defender who uses his body very well to position himself between opponent and ball. Looks very robust physically. Also shows courage in build-up with vertical passes and diagonals, although there is still room to improve the precision and sharpness of those passes. That is completely normal at his age and there is naturally still plenty of room for development. Still a very interesting profile.

📑8/9📑 Tinus Moorthamer ▪️16 y/o ▪️CM/CDM/CB/RB ▪️KRC Genk U18 ▪️Right-footed ▪️🇧🇪 Moorthamer is listed as a midfielder on @Transfermarkt but played at right-back today. Defensively he really impressed me there. Gave the feeling that nobody would get past him down his side because he was extremely strong in duels and very solid in 1v1 defending. Very secure defensive profile overall. Offensively he didn’t stand out too much apart from his goal, where he positioned himself inside the box after a cross and finished a difficult ball first-time.

Two consecutive relegations in a row for Mateus Fernandes. Very unfortunate. Would really love to see him in a better-structured team competing for bigger objectives. Because the talent is clearly there. In the right environment, with more stability and better conditions around him, he could really explode.

I’ve talked about him before, but he still manages to leave me speechless every single time. What a performance by Gjivai Zechiel against Ajax, despite the loss. What a season by him. Wow. Top clubs should be lining up. He wins 7/9 duels, 7 recoveries, 4 tackles. A defensive top performance. In possession, just as impressive: 4/5 accurate long balls, 9 passes into the final third, and 87% pass accuracy despite playing 120 minutes. On top of that, he scores in the 106th minute to send Utrecht to the penalty shootout. And in the shootout, he takes responsibility and scores again. Really incredible player. I truly appreciate him. More attention please.

📑8/8📑 Florian Hellstern ▪️18 y/o ▪️GK ▪️🇩🇪 Hellstern is one of the most promising goalkeeper talents in Germany. Very composed presence, plays with confidence and strong emotional control. Strong shot-stopper on the line with good diving technique and reaction speed. Active in sweeping actions, comfortable outside his box when defending space. Also solid with the ball at his feet, participates in build-up phases and can circulate under pressure.

📑7/8📑 Antonijo Janjic ▪️19 y/o ▪️RB ▪️🇭🇷🇩🇪 Janjic stands out immediately due to his recovery speed. Elite in transition defending, recovers space behind the line quickly and times tackles well in open-field situations. Defensively solid; strong dueler, balanced stance, and aggressive but controlled in 1v1s. Offensively active with constant overlapping runs, providing width and depth on the right side. Works well in 2v1 dynamics with his winger, especially when the winger inverts and opens the lane for the overlap. In advanced zones he shows good decision-making, head up, looking for cut-backs and dangerous zone entries.
