I am so grateful that I can work with older people. I am fortunate to have a job that aligns with my values, where I can help others. One lady told me that getting old is not easy but she is not going to let it win! That's a great attitude to have in your 90's! 💪💃🤸‍♀️

As part of my PhD (investigating the impact of exercise on transition into residential care), I have been working at an aged care facility for the past 1.5 yrs. Monday is my last day, and I am feeling incredibly sad to say goodbye to the residents.

I introduced 2 residents who grew up + lived in the same area of East Africa. They've lived in RAC for ~4 months but being on different floors, didn't know each other. They chatted for 45min+ plan on meeting again. Facilitating new connections makes a difference for new residents

I work in RAC running group exercise classes as part of PhD research. Today the physio said 'We don't want you to leave!'. A lovely compliment 😀

I haven't been to the nursing home where I work for 2 weeks. I left amid a COVID outbreak. I was worried about the residents. Yesterday I returned and they were all well. I was so happy to see they were all OK 😀 Yes, I probably care too much sometimes but that's just who I am.

My puppy sitter has COVID, so little Frank came with me to work and my client who lost her sausage earlier this year got to have lots of puppy cuddles! One gentleman even took him for a little walk!
