Day 3 Highlights (25th August 2025) The meetings today focused on: A. Budget, Finance and Audit Committee B. Risk, Trends and Methods Group C. Evaluation and Compliance Group This is to strengthen governance, monitoring risks and enhance compliance.

Day 2: Meetings of the review groups continued today, focusing on monitoring the progress of Post-Evaluation Implementation of FATF Standards in assessed member countries. These discussions remain critical in strengthening compliance, and any country's ehancing effectiveness

ESAAMLG Heads of FIUs convened in a closed session to deliberate on critical issues relating to anti-money laundering and counter-proliferation financing within the region. The discussions reaffirm the region’s collective commitment to strengthening financial integrity.

Day 1: The stage is set in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 50th Task Force, 25th Council of Ministers, and 8th PPSD Meetings advancing AML/CFT/CPF priorities. Today’s closed ESAAMLG Steering Committee session kicked things off with robust deliberations on strategic issues. #ESAAMLG

The Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group (ESAAMLG) will hold its 25th Council of Ministers, 50th Task Force of Senior Officials, and 8th Public-Private Sector Dialogue (PPSD) meetings.These meetings will take place in Addis Ababa from 22 to 30 August 2025.
