🔎What do persons with disabilities need in the EU? We gathered lived experiences via public consultation. The challenges are clear: 🏠 Living independently — 53% 💼 Work & employment — 51% 🏛️ Access to buildings — 48% 🚌 Access to transport — 46% 🤝 Community inclusion — 39%

Freedom of the press is one of the cornerstones of democracy. And the EU protects what matters, including the right to receive independent, reliable information. The European Media Freedom Act helps keep journalists and sources safe, strengthens editorial independence and protects media organisations from undue interference or legal intimidation. Today, on World Press Freedom Day, we reaffirm our duty to support and protect journalists so they can do their work free from pressure, intimidation, or harm.

Rights are not optional—they apply to everyone, including to persons with disabilities. The Youth Policy Dialogue hosted by @hadjalahbib was part of this effort to implement the UNCRPD, by enhancing the EU Disability strategy. Europe grows when persons with disabilities belong.
