About three weeks ago I started working on a "hosted openclaw" virtual appliance that would sit atop an easyVPS.
It was supposed to be just a simple wrapper that took away the pain of getting an openclaw up and running (prior to that I had wasted a good two weeks getting nowhere - these are now one-click deployments)
The space shifted so fast, major architecture changes were required more than once: we started recommending Claude OAUTH as more economical than API keys, but that is now over.
We added OpenAI Codex support since they allow subscription sharing across devices (of course, you can add API keys from either).
But the logical move is to add local LLM to do as much of the onboard processing as possible - so today, while Anthropic was pulling the plug on this, I was adding TinyLlama to the base install on easyNode with an easy interface to sideload others.
We started calling these things "easyClaw" but they've already moved beyond that, even before launch, so easyNode it is - it's more than a login screen slapped over openclaw - it's a control plane for your personal armada of agents.
(I have a whole fleet of these things going and it is wild.)
easyNode should go live this week, if you want to snag a spot, get on the invite list here:
invite.easyclaw.md (yes, still the old name)

Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.

@zonewatcherapp Interesting - FYI your API production creds are enabled automatically now.
No longer need to open a support ticket.
We do recommend scoping any API keys to a single domain or portfolio.

Canada has achieved a grim medical milestone: the world's first successful heart transplant from a patient euthanized via MAiD.
A 38-year-old man with ALS was lethally injected. Just seven minutes after his heart stopped, it was "reanimated," transported to the US, and transplanted.
This marks a terrifying new frontier in "Organ Donation after Euthanasia" (ODE), where Canada is now a "world leader."
The numbers are exploding:
• 136 of 286 global ODE cases by 2021 were Canadian.
• 5% of all organ transplants in Canada in 2024 used organs from the euthanized.
Medical reports themselves warn of the coercion: Patients who feel they are a "burden" may now feel pressured to "do something meaningful" with their death. The desire to donate can become a driver for the request to die.
We are normalizing a pathway where the most vulnerable are harvested to save others. This isn't just about one life-saving transplant; it's about the ethical cost to a society that creates a system where death becomes a utility.
