So happy to announce that E Class Racing @suitedfours @Justify3107 purchased our 7th 2 year old this year via way of this Justify-Esque looking Drop Dead Gorgeous Tacitus filly from Bryan Ford! 🥵 We have been implementing AI to our bloodstock game & this filly scored higher than anyone all sale. She is just such a big classy girl, so happy to welcome her to the team & send her to the Maestro Stacey Rushton 🤠

Now named “Poweline”, my favorite Flightline of all last year and arguably my favorite colt in general, is looking like an absolute FREAK SHOW! 😱 Between this guy and 10.5 millions dollar Zedan, Flightline is looking like he will have a very strong year.

I think it is obvious he is the best OB colt ever at this point. If not then who? It is between he and Nevada Beach and Desert Gate has been elite since last March (aka day 1), has precocity & speed that NB didnt, earned more in less time, can sprint or go 2 turns, they both have 4 wins/3 stakes a piece but Desert Gate has fewer losses & was running Nevada Beach speed figures much earlier. Yes, Nevada won a G1 but if we are talking overall pound for pound? Id definitely give it to Desert, who also narrowly missed on 2 G1’s as well. In my opinion he is just such a complete horse & only had one disappointing out so far which was off a layoff and still got 4th.

So true. “Intuition” is hard to quantify and verbalize, but it is probably the most important factor and why the best agents in the game rely on guy above AI/new technology. A horse can have & do everything right but if they do not give you that feeling then it does not matter. A look at my list reveals a wide variety of sizes, shapes, bloodlines, some worked bullets and others just galloped, but all gave me a special feeling. I also think had Jazz Man & Tagermeen ended up in different programs they too would be rising stars, just poor management of their gifts - the easiest thing in the world to do is ruin a good horse, sadly. Crude Velocity is a perfect example - he was only a 3K yearling, he worked on the wrong lead, all the top agents in the game faded him aside CSLR, but I just knew he had that intangible and was breathing different air. It is hard to describe why, but Ive been nerding out over horses obsessively for 4 decades and he just gave me a special feeling. The brain truly is a super computer and the more passion you pour into something the super computer brain makes micro-adaptations that we aren’t even conscious of. If one is willing to put in more hours and grind harder than anyone else while staying positive & loving this game, the results will come.

And a huge shout out to @DanielAlva85 & @Justify3107 who both knew this colt - who only sold for 260K - was one of the best colts from all last year’s 2 year old sales before he even sold. Desert Gate also made my “Elite 8”two year sale colts last year along w/ superstar Crude Velocity (250k) and 6 of 8 Rising Stars including G1 winners such a Brant. We will be posting our “elite 8” again after June OBS this year if anyone else wants to join in :)

It was very tough to separate the top horses today, but I'm going with this chesnut son of @spendthriftfarm Omaha Beach as my top horse today. Executed a flawless work in 9.4 showing fluid mechanics in his motion & what looks like a very big stride. One of the top horses so far!

Yes, extremely poignant point here. I was a little worried about Curlin mares up until last year as his daughters were not doing as much as expected. But since last year he has gone Super Nova, especially when given the right “harmony” to work with. A look at this list & we find Curlin mares really took off recently. Desert Gate just increased his earning to eclipse half a million, Plutarch may well be one of the best horses in this crop, Big Truzz was a powerhouse last year & TO Elvis just won a Grade 1. The 1 commonality they all share with top earner Renegade is the Northern Dancer sire line…..finding the right matches seems to be pivotal for Curlin mares.

We want to get more racing fans involved & spread that LFG Energy 🔥 🐎 🙌 Once you actually start following these sales it becomes more additive & fun than racing as @racinglucyx will attest too 😆 When we first started following these sales we made so many mistakes & had to learn so much. But when you actually learn how to spot a top horse before they sell, that skill alone is worth a lot of money and stays with you your whole life. @Justify3107 & I now proudly work for E Class Racing owing to our hustle for covering these sales and improving our eye. This is the only sport out there where if you just put in the effort and passion you can become part of it. This game also needs the younger generations to get involved, learn the craft, if it will continue into the 22nd century.

That is a good question, as the most expensive yearlings do not even go there. I think it has to do with the Bramlage Study that showed horses with 2 year bases stay more sound than those that are started later. It “toughens em up” as D Wayne would say, “makes them into race horses”. Modern Humans have a tendency to humanize horses, look at a 2 year old colt the way they do a 2 year old human, but horses are extremely different than us and evolved to have to be on their feet and running away from predators within seconds from birth. Getting that early base in them prepares them for what is to come, their brain and body adapt and evolve for the rigorous task of being a race horse. Obviously every horse is different; some will not be optimal 2 year sale horses, so the onus is on the horseman to decipher what is best for them. But it has come to the point it is just obvious OBS’ers are out performing their counterparts by virtually every metric and I believe there is a scientific reason for that aside “luck”. Getting that base in prepares their body and brain better is my guess.

Precisely. This field may have not been best but a horse cant control who shows up. His speed figures and sheer final times prove Desert Gate is elite. Very happy to see him Ace the two turn test as well. He has been so close to winning a G1 on two occasions and Omaha Beach is infamous for taking time. His Curlin sires Dam also won a 10F later in her career - perhaps the same holds true here? 🤔 👀 🤞

Yah, one thing that has always intrigued me about this colt was the fact he came from a late maturing pedigree but showed such precocity. Nevada Beach and Kopion took some time, but Gate has been a beast since day 1. If he continues to improve like his Dad or Kopion did, the sky would be the limit 🚀 Just a fantastic job by the @ArroyoBldstck boys to even find a colt like this. What a testament to their eye and talent to find a horse like this, and they even have other bangers like Sea Strike & D’Code. Gotta give credit where credit is do, these guys are crushing 🙌

Not sure how I over reacted? 🤷‍♂️ I just posted his race and celebrated another stakes win of a colt Ive loved since last March. This colt cost 260K, will have earned around half a million after today inside 7 races and very likely will have a stud deal after his career is done. That is super rare in this game where it is hard to break even. Do I think he is the best horse in his crop? No. But he is definitely very nice and in the top 10 P4P I’d say, has been elite from early 2 until now which is a feat in itself in this wildly unpredictable game. And if Omaha Beach x Curlin genetics hold true he should only get better. 🤞 🤞 And thank you for the compliment 🙏 We will be doing our Elite 8 list, aka top colts from the 2 year sales again, if you wanna hop on in June (all for fun and to improve our eyes).

He ran a freakin’ 98 beyer last out, smoking the same colt that Further Ado went to war with to win the Kentucky Jockey Cup. He also did this off two big ships this year. What else do you want from him? He is a very nice colt and hands down the best Omaha Beach dirt colt that we have seen, from winning graded stakes early at two to now being 2/3 on the year at 3. And if you know anything about Omaha Beach progeny; they mature very well with age. Did I call him Flightline? No. But I’ve been on this colt since before he sold & all he has done is show up and collect checks. How about this: you enjoy & root for what resonates with you and I’ll do the same for me…..Sound fair?

Early Encore by Early Voting absolutely smokes the field at @santaanitapark 🐎 💨 Early Voting is on FIRE 🔥 right now, which comes as no surprise to breeding nerds like myself & @HawkstoneTB given his likeness to Vekoma. Also, it should be noted Early Encore is out of an Into Mischief mare and Into Mischief is really starting to heat up as a broodmare sire. We at E Class had a lot of faith in these Gun Runner sons too, which is a big reason we chose Locked for our Pharoah mare. And judging by what we saw at the 2 year old sales, expect Epicenter (on the reverse Gun Runner cross) to have very good success, especially at 2 turns.

It’s official! We are #Locked in and ready to rock! 🔒 🐎 E-Class Racing @suitedfours @Justify3107 is happy to announce that we just signed the contract to get our American Pharoah x Scat Daddy mare, Monetization, into the son of Gun Runner & multiple G1 winner Locked @Gainesway Our team put a lot of thought into this pairing and we feel it hits on all angles 🎯 Not only is American Pharoah off to an incredible start as a broodmare sire (one of the chief reasons we bought this mare), but his daughter Sefani already produced a G3 winner beneath a Candy Ride x AP Indy son in Game Winner. The Candy Ride x Empire Maker cross is also what G1 stallion Rock Your World is on and to an extent perennial leading sire Twirling Candy, whose broodmare sire is the 3/4 brother to Empire Maker. Scat Daddy has been crushing under Gun Runner as well, with G1 Brant, G2 Pappacap and recent 2.2 million dollar weanling standout colt that @DonatoLanni just purchased on behalf of @ZedanRacing showing us what a strong cross this is. In addition to Gun Runner’s success with Scat Daddy, Candy Ride’s son Game Winner also has a G1 winner with Gaming who is out of a Johannesburg x Mr Prospector mare (same cross as Scat Daddy). Game Winner in general served as an indicator of who may be best suited as he is on the Candy x AP Indy cross like Locked is. We feel blessed to have gotten Monetization as she just does not have an amazing broodmare’s pedigree but she is a big athletic mare, was a 245K yearling and hails from one of the greatest families in the game in Best In Show (Rags To Riches, Jazil, Arcangelo). In fact, her 3rd dam is a FULL to the great El Gran Senor, who is also the broodmare sire of the aforementioned Empire Maker to provide us with some tasty line-breeding. This family has produced a whopping 3 Belmont winners in just the last couple of decades and we are hopeful the end result will be a fast, athletic, harmonically sound bred baby that has stamina for days 🤞 Locked eventually got the nod for us over some other sires under evaluation as he had precocity and won a G1 at 2, he stretched that speed and won a 10F G1 at 4, had that beautiful Gun Runner x Malibu Moon harmony that champion Sierra Leone has and especially as he comes from a strong female family - Locked’s dam is sister to a multiple G1 winner and also another G2 winner. We also felt their physicals paired well together and our mare could compliment Locked in certain areas and he could compliment her in certain areas. A big shout out to Gainesway for being so easy to work with and supplying the public with such high quality stallions every year. 🙌 LFG!!!!!

Yes Jody, very exciting to see the he dam worked with both Northern Dancer/Danzig and Mr Prospector/Candy Ride sire lines. Will be exciting to see what she can do with Into Mischief x Distorted Humor up top. He looked fantastic here, pure daisy cutter action and looks like a big stretchy horse. Definitely one of the nicest Life Is Goods I have yet seen, which is not surprising as he was one of the most expensive ones sold and a Spa Select yearling (elite of the elite).

@DeepValue47 His early speed is just such a weapon, especially for out West where the leader often wins. If you have early speed like that, stamina can always be added on. He is gonna be hard to beat out West if he stays healthy.

The @HartleyDeRenzo grad Decisive Win decisively romps at @santaanitapark in the 4th This colt again vindicates how powerful the Nyquist x AP Indy agenda is - 1 of @Justify3107 favorite crosses. It’s *almost* at the point Nyquist almost needs that Indy to produce an elite dirt horse. And holy moly how loaded was that @claydoeski Crude Velocity maiden? Civil Liberty 98bsf win next out, Memory 93bsf win, now Decisive Win lays down a big + mile romp.

And what was important about this boy was he had harmony beyond the AP Indy Nick. Like Nysos and New York Thunder he had the Unbridled in there too. First generation Nick isnt always enough for these Nyquists, they need more harmonic depth & a good family really helps too. The future is bright for this boy and I suspect he will be hard to beat in these Cali stakes coming.
