Take a break from telling God everything that’s wrong. He already knows your needs. There’s nothing wrong with asking, but at some point, you need to switch over to thanking Him for what He’s promised.

We have to protect our heart against offenses. If you hold on to that hurt, the bitterness and poison become a part of who you are, and you never move on from that festering pain. Instead, you have to cover that offense.

The Scripture doesn’t say that offenses won’t come, but it tells us how to deal with an offense—cover it and forgive (Proverbs 17:9). The choice is ours. Don’t let life’s hurts get into your heart.

Are you trying to get out of something that God is going to take you through? Are you fighting the process, wondering why it happened? Everything will change if you’ll start inviting God in. He promised He’ll be with you; maybe He’s just waiting for your invitation.

God is not obligated to bring to pass what we say, but He is obligated to bring to pass what He says. When He hears His promises coming out of your mouth, angels go to work, forces of darkness are pushed back, favor is released in a new way.

People may not be watching, but God is. Maybe nobody is saying thank you. You’re not getting the credit you deserve. But you keep doing the right thing, showing up on time, doing more than you have to. People may not see it, but God sees it. He’s the one who matters.

It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:5

God is saying, “Do you recognize the new thing I’m doing in your life? Don’t wait to have faith only once the problem has taken care of itself. I’m doing some new things right now. Look for it! Watch and see what I will do. It is a new thing!”

The right people, the contacts, the healing, the open doors. They're going to track you down. The Scripture says, “No good thing will God withhold when you walk uprightly.” That’s you. You’re committed, faithful, being good to people. God is not going to withhold anything you need.

Your future is in God’s hands. You don’t have to figure it all out. Your job is to keep God first. Use your gifts and talents to honor Him. Then, He promises that He will add everything you need.

Don't stay stuck in a dark place. Keep believing, but don’t wait for a prayer to be answered and then you’ll have joy. You're valuable. You have gifts and talents. Be the best you can be, make plans for your life, and take on the new challenges that God has for you now.

David knew that as you’re serving others, you’re serving God. As David walked in obedience in the small things, what seemed insignificant, it was leading him to a big thing. He would have never met Goliath had he not been faithful in the small things. Don’t discount small acts of obedience.

Every time we give, no matter how great or how small, we’re helping others and we’re serving God. If you want to see God do great things through you, be a giver. Then, watch God take your little and turn it into plenty.

Scripture says, "Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness." That means God’s way of doing things. His Kingdom, in one sense, is the opposite of what we naturally think. He said, “Bless your enemies. Be good to those who do you wrong. Forgive those who hurt you.” Seek first the Kingdom. If you want God to add things to your life, you have to do it His way.

How many of us are trying to do God’s job. We’re trying to do everything on our own. No, take the pressure off. Let God be God. He knows what’s best for you. He knows what you need, who you need, when you need it, and how to get it to you.

In Exodus 18, Moses was overwhelmed with busyness to the breaking point. In the midst of this, Moses prayed this important prayer: “Teach us to number our days, that we can gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Another translation reads: “Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well!”
