The Keenesburg community is wonderfully tight-knit. And participating in their 3rd of July celebration hosted by the Southeast Weld Fire Protection District was a great reminder of how incredible our small towns are. The support they show one another in their community is what I will bring to Congress. I believe we can replicate that support at scale and create a more supportive country.

I am so saddened to hear about the closing of Blue Lake. There are fewer and fewer resources for recreation on our Eastern Plains and it's easy to see how folks out there feel left behind. When Chris and I first moved to Colorado all those years ago, the 4th of July was when it really began to feel like home. The communities here really know how to celebrate neighbors, local businesses, each other, and America. I’m looking forward to next year already! 🇺🇸

The Castle Rock Ducky Derby last week was a family affair! I loved having my kids in town for the holiday and kicking it off with a family friendly event in Castle Rock that shows my grandkids the importance of community and giving back. All proceeds of the event support local CR nonprofits. Is there anything better than a grandkiddo running into your arms?!

War always has consequences. The question is whether those consequences were fully understood before the first strike. I'm not convinced they were with Iran. Now we're facing a conflict that will be far more difficult to unwind than it was to begin. And with every passing day, the costs - strategic, economic, and human are continuing to grow.

Prescription drug prices are out of control and insurance companies are holding patients hostage. We need to allow medicare to negotiate more drug prices and help our seniors afford their medications.

The USDA is reporting a 52% drop from the state's 10-year average in wheat production. That's not just a 52% drop in wheat. It's a reminder that when a crop fails, it's families who feel it first — at the kitchen table, when paying for groceries, buying school supplies, filling a prescription, or deciding whether they can afford to keep farming another year. Lauren Boebert and her colleagues still have not passed a comprehensive, long-term Farm Bill, the critical legislation that could provide support and relief for our farmers. I am so humbled and appreciative of everyone who came yesterday to walk in the Highlands Ranch 4th of July parade! My family, friends and community showing up meant the world to me and we are ready to defeat Lauren Boebert in November!

Happy Birthday, America. 250 years of democracy and freedom. I’ve worn the stars and stripes on my sleeve. As have my father, my grandfather, and now my son. So these 250 years aren’t an abstraction for me. They’re a reality. A reality of service, sacrifice, and legacy.

Today we celebrate freedom, unity, and the spirit that makes this nation strong. Happy 4th of July.

I love my country. Part of that love means modeling service and sacrifice for younger generations and passing on that love to continually work to make our communities and country better.

Freedom isn't just a word we celebrate on the Fourth of July. It's something we have to protect, strengthen, and pass on to the next generation. Last week was busy fitting in lots of events before the holiday! 💦 We went to the Highlands Ranch water festival learning about local water supplies. 🤝 We had multiple meet and greets. 🐄 We attended the Cattleman's Convention and heard about the challenges our ranchers are facing.

I had a wonderful time at Arapahoe County's annual community picnic last Sunday. Events like these are a reminder that strong communities are built through relationships, shared experiences, and people who care enough to show up for one another.

Earlier this week, Lauren Boebert voted NO on the bipartisan housing bill that encourages more homebuilding, while placing limits on corporate investors — legislation that could provide much needed relief for Colorado home buyers and renters.
