Saltburn’s opening sequence was written, filmed & edited to Handel’s Zadok the Priest: the coronation theme. Which Anthony Willis beautifully re-orchestrated. But here when the title appears the choir doesn’t sing “Zadok the Priest”, they sing “Oliver Quick”. Long live the king!

Katie also designed the wonderful Catton “Dancing Pierrot Box”, the family crest, and every wine label, cigarette box, and book you see in the film, among many other beautiful things.

Each frame of the opening titles was hand drawn, gilded & painted by our incredible graphic designer Katie & her assistant India, then applied in stop motion. It took months to make as a single frame took half a day, but it encapsulates everything: a beauty that drives us mad.

In other news my son and I loved Saltburn and I'm stunned at how in a single generation we seem to have learned to cope with watching weird sex scenes across the parental child divide. Bravo @emeraldfennell it's hella weird.

@emeraldfennell Already got a date in with my son to watch it. We missed it at the cinema what with not living in the same city as him at a convenient time. He literally asked me to put watching at home in my diary so annoyed was he by my flakiness in making it to the cinema.
