@GeorginaWise95 and I finished our role emerging placement today! We've challenged ourselves and in the process learnt and grown so much as clinicians. I am so proud of the resource we've made. Hopefully it'll make a difference to stroke survivors in Bradford #OccupationalTherapy

What a day! #RCOT2021 I've attended such an amazing range of sessions. Inclusion, perinatal mental health, social prescribing, student education. My knowledge has grown, my appreciation deepened and my opinions bettered. I can't wait to pass all this on to my fellow students!

Closed my research survey about the occupational identities of UK Scout Leaders today. Blown away by the number of responses (734!) but also not surprised at the Scouting community pitching in to support. Time to start analysing the results #Research #OccupationalTherapy #Scouts

We've had our inter-professional learning day today. A massively useful day learning a lot about our wider health and social care networks and how we can work together to ensure the best outcomes for our service users!

Attending this afternoon's #RCOTroadshow excited to explore health inequalities and the role of occupational therapy in addressing these. Particularly topical as my current university module is all about tackling occupational injustices for at risk populations.

The last year has taken a toll on many people's mental health including the young people I support as a Scout leader. This will be a good opportunity to develop my existing first aid skills to support both my work as an Occupational Therapist and Scout leader.

I've just finished a placement working with veterans with complex mental health needs. Many of whom had previously relied on charity services that have lost crucial funds recently. The support and care they provide can mean the difference between existing and truly living!
Forces in Mind Trust@FiMTrust

FiMT Chief Exec @thewisdomofray has signed an open letter to the government, calling for emergency support for charities in the UK. #RightNow Armed Forces charities are providing vital support for their beneficiaries, but many are struggling. Thread ⬇️

Today we started our Occupation in Context module. I'm excited to explore how occupational therapists can strive towards occupational justice for whole populations as well as the individuals we work with on a daily basis
