A huge shout out to everyone who showed up to fight for our Queer youth yesterday. We showed that KW cares about our Queer community. The fight isn't over, the WCDSB has moved the motion to be debated on April 28th. Join us then so we can get this motion off the table.

Later today the WCDSB trustees will vote on whether to ban pride flags from being flown at Waterloo region Catholic schools. In response, I wrote to the new Minister of Education, Paul Calandra, calling on him to step in. Hate has no place at our schools.

Students who feel included & safe in their learning environment are more likely to achieve academic success. Banning an inclusive symbol like the Pride Flag is cruel & demeaning for students & families who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+. ‍🌈 Please read my letter to @WaterlooCDSB.
