🇪🇺🇬🇧 Good first meeting in London with @patmcfaddenmp - UK Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to discuss strengthening our cooperation, as well as common challenges and policy responses in the area of employment and social policy. We agreed on the need to focus on youth and address youth unemployment and child poverty. I presented key initiatives such as the upcoming EU anti-poverty strategy and our work on skills, and welcomed the UK’s association to Erasmus in 2027, which will be providing opportunities for young people on both sides of the Channel.
