An Icon coming to EA and @cycol_gallery this June.

Celebrating CRASH ONE (John Matos) – Graffiti Pioneer, Living Legend & The Blueprint coming to Solana's own Cycol Gallery in NYC. Born John Matos in 1961 in the Bronx, CRASH started bombing subway trains at just 13 years old. He took the tag “CRASH” after accidentally crashing a school computer and it quickly became one of the most visible names rolling through New York City. His early work captured the raw, electric energy of 1970s-80s train yard culture: bold lettering, explosive colors, and Pop Art influences that turned moving steel into rolling masterpieces. From those gritty beginnings, Crash didn’t just paint trains he helped build the bridge from underground graffiti to institutional fine art recognition, all while staying true to his roots. Key Accolades & Breakthrough Moments: • In 1980, he curated the groundbreaking “Graffiti Art Success for America” exhibition at Fashion Moda in the South Bronx, a pivotal show that helped legitimize graffiti as serious art and connected street artists with the downtown scene. • By 1983, he was exhibiting in major Post-Graffiti group shows alongside legends like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat at Sidney Janis Gallery. • His works are now in permanent collections at MoMA (NY), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), Brooklyn Museum, and many more. He’s had over 300 exhibitions worldwide. • Iconic collaborations with brands like Absolut Vodka, Levi’s, Fender, Tumi, and Ferrari. He’s also co-owner of WALLWORKS New York gallery in the Bronx, bringing art back uptown. Crash proved that street artists could thrive in museums, blue-chip collections, and commercial worlds without losing authenticity. Generations still follow the path he helped create, from raw subway pieces to refined paintings, silk screens, murals, and mixed media. His career is a masterclass in longevity, reinvention, and cultural impact. CRASH: THE BLUEPRINT, coming to @cycol_gallery this June, Crash One brings a powerful solo exhibition to Cycol Gallery on New York City’s Lower East Side. Titled CRASH: THE BLUEPRINT, the show dives deep into his legacy through new paintings, archival material, mixed media works, and immersive elements. It celebrates how he created the model for turning graffiti into a respected, lasting fine art career. Select works will also be minted on @exchgART and is powered by @solana and @bonk_inu, beautifully bridging the physical gallery experience with digital ownership and permanence. Curated by @lobeldesign. Co-produced by @JTLissPhotoArt and @lampwrecked_ This isn’t just an exhibition — it’s a living celebration of history still being written. From Bronx train yards to LES galleries and on-chain legacy, CRASH ONE remains a force, proving the culture he helped birth is stronger and more vibrant than ever. RSVP via Luma in the comment below.

A Pioneer of the Graffiti Art Movement, Crash One, is exhibiting at @cycol_gallery and minting their work on @exchgART this June. The teams continue to cook.
Cycol Gallery@cycol_gallery

Crash One a.k.a. John Matos coming to Cycol Gallery this June with works minted on @exchgART. Powered by @solana and @bonk_inu —————————————————— CRASH: THE BLUEPRINT examines how legendary graffiti pioneer Crash One created the model for transforming graffiti from an underground movement into a respected, lasting fine art career. Long before street art gained global acceptance, he proved that artists rooted in train culture could move successfully into galleries, museums, and major collections—without losing the energy or authenticity that defined their work. The exhibition positions Crash as far more than a graffiti legend: he is the blueprint for generations that followed. His career traces the evolution from subway yards to institutional walls, raw lettering to refined visual storytelling, while preserving the spirit of New York graffiti culture at its core. Through paintings, archival material, mixed media, and immersive presentation, the show explores legacy, reinvention, and artistic longevity, revealing how Crash built the bridge between graffiti and contemporary art that countless artists still follow today. This is The Blueprint.

Artist Highlight on @exchgART 💎 magnetismo @m_agnetismo magnetismo’s works move away from the sharpness often associated with digital image-making. Instead of clarity, the practice leans into softness, fragmentation, and visual drift treating the image as something unstable and constantly dissolving.

• Music • Film • Fashion • Comedy • Spoken Word • Performance • And always Visual Art • @solana will be the rails where everything happens. • @exchgART will be the platform where art is sold. @cycol_gallery 2.0 is coming. We are bringing everything together. When I said we were going to be a cultural hub in NYC I meant it. Art x Culture x Tech x Community. Not just buzz words for the team and I. We live this. Those interested in being part, hit me up.
