Everyone celebrating tariffs and shouting “Buy American!” might want to check the parts list. Most “American” cars are built with components from around the world – and tariffs just made those parts more expensive. Patriotism isn’t cheap. Not a judgement just a statement of fact.

Not a single manufacturer I know is moving production back to the U.S. And why would we? This administration changes its stance every other week. Meanwhile, relocating a global supply chain takes years—not months. Here’s what is happening: Prices are rising. Consumers are spending less. Companies are slashing jobs. And by the end of the year? We’ll be knee-deep in a recession we manufactured all by ourselves

You are clueless if you think this helps consumers.. Import costs increase, importers pass on cost increase to consumers via price hikes, spurring inflation and further decimating lower class consumer savings. You do know there's history and data to back all of this up, stop listening to lying politicians.

@APompliano I’m a small business owner that imports products from China and Vietnam. I am not able to manufacture in the US. If these tariffs stay in place it will put me out of business. I am not cheering.
