We're trying something with AI Radio Transcriptions today, testing a new VAD model. So far, we're seeing more radios picked up, but we're also noticing that those radios aren't always accurate (and sometimes less accurate than before). We'll review and improve after. #F1

@Anonymo71875313 Yes I think they could, it's a choice F1 TV can make, but they've not seemed particularly interested in this.

@f1multiviewer Do you think they could offer us separate channels for radio and engine sound? Considering they aren't fixing it, I doubt they would do that though.

@f1multiviewer Also, engine volume on onboard cameras. They said they would fix it last season. They are even louder now, lol. You can barely hear the radios. I am guessing that is also why your AI transcription doesn't work the best?

@kunalashah This year, engine noise is significantly louder on most cars, making it much harder to tell voice activity apart from silence. We're trying things, but it's difficult and we're very dependent on the quality of the input data.
