#Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit load boxes of water bottles onto a CH-53E Super Stallion at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The 11th MEU, embarked aboard the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, is providing vital defense support to civil authorities, contributing to crisis response and recovery efforts in the wake of Super Typhoon Sinlaku. It is critical that @DHSgov is funded as soon as possible. The shutdown has caused FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund to drastically deplete. Without additional appropriations, FEMA’s ability to support ongoing disaster response and recovery operations will remain severely constrained.
