The brush fire in the park's woodland Ravine is now extinguished. According to @FDNY, the fire engulfed a roughly two-acre area. We thank FDNY and its sister agencies who responded quickly to get the fire under control.

HEADS UP from Baseball Field Maintenance: Parks is stepping up enforcement of no dogs on the ballfields. Kids playing soccer and football have been stepping on poop and tripping on holes. Past the path from 9th St to the pond is ALWAYS off limits to dogs, on leash and off.

Small dog owners might consider a different kind of throw toy. It’s a big crowded park out there and everyone would like to take advantage of it. Those of you with larger dogs will need to watch them like a hawk and anticipate trouble. 🐶❤️🐶❤️

⛑PSA⛑ Recently a large dog during off-leash swallowed a small ball tossed to a smaller dog 😢. Should this happen to you, get your dog to the veterinarian where vomiting may be induced.
