This is just a fragment of the reality of Christians in Nigeria. This government has referred to those carrying out these acts of terrorism as “their brothers and sons.” The federal government negotiates with these terrorists. The army salutes Sheikh Gumi, who speaks for them. This is the government that has implicitly facilitated the genocide of Christians in Nigeria through sheer negligence. This is the government that reintegrates “repentant” Boko Haram members who killed Christians back into society.
