so @theweeknd had the 3rd best selling album of the year, Blinding Lights spent 28 weeks in the @billboard Top 5 (he now holds that record) & 19 weeks at Number One (the 1st artist to ever do so). all of this resulted in a whopping ZERO nominations from #TheGrammys.

Same reason Latin artists are rarely in the general categories, the same reason The Weekend was snubbed this year, the same reason Black artists generally put in nominations of their music in R&B categories because they know that's their best chance at winning. #GrammysSoWhite
