@fayroberts It took me too long to work out what "the Azure Firmament" was, Google was just giving me some guy's EP and a fandom wiki for a 3DS game. Then, I used a thesaurus for the words separately and sighed massively. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😆

All of which is to say that if you know of friendly talent agencies who have the capacity to take on a nearly 50yo, queer, disabled, British voice actor with no acting quals but plenty of experience and quite a good voice, apparently, I'd be really grateful for the pointers.

(Because it's usually taken a ton of effort to get up the executive function/ imposter syndrome wrangling spoons to do the thing in the first place, by that point I'm fully committed and possibly a bit obliviously pushy.)

There's nothing makes me feel more neurodivergent than applying for voice work. In this instance: applying for representation.

I was an early adopter of Twitter (Feb 2007!), and a 2nd wave early adopter of BlueSky, and honestly the latter has been like coming home, not wide-eyed with wonder so much as relieved that it IS possible to have a pleasant, community-spirited micro-blogging platform. Join us!

All this because I successfully used the word "dink" in an anagram game and was curious to see if it thought that meant what I thought that meant… It did not.

Just discovered the extraordinarily specific word dinq, which means "to not make the requisite amount of progress in one's qualifications". Its etymology is the acronym for "delinquent in nuclear qualifications" (thanks, nuclear submarine programmes?).
