Students in Outdoor Education at ALLPS traveled to Clear Creek in Johnson for a hands on learning experience focused on environmental science and responsibility.

Happy Hollow hosted a beautiful Art Show that brought creativity and community together! Students and families enjoyed interactive art stations, face painting, and plenty of fun throughout the event.

RJHS hosted a powerful AVID College and Career Assembly with a focus on historically Black colleges and universities! Students heard from a panel of professionals, asked thoughtful questions, and learned more about the many paths available to them after high school.

FHS Sports Broadcasting class received a precision playback device used for replaying sports plays, thanks to a grant from FPEF! We caught students getting hands-on experience and learning how to use this new tool that brings real-world broadcasting skills into the classroom!

FPS partners with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at the Johnelle Hunt Nature Center to give FHS biology students an unforgettable hands-on experience through the School of Conservation Leadership program.

NWA's RockEd visited John L Colbert to celebrate Women’s History Month in music! Students had a blast singing, clapping, and playing along while learning about influential women who have shaped the music industry. It was a fun way to celebrate the impact of women in music!

Holcomb Elementary had the joy of welcoming Andrea L. Rogers, a member of the Cherokee Nation and 2025 Caldecott Medal winner for her book “Chooch Helped”! Thank you, Andrea, for inspiring our young readers and sharing your story with us!

We were excited to welcome Mr. Tacuma Williams to FPS during a special Meet & Greet. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their support as Mr. Williams prepares to step into his new role as principal of John L Colbert Junior High for the 2027–28 school year.

Asbell Elementary has been traveling the world without ever leaving campus! During Multicultural Week, students carried “passports” and visited classrooms transformed into different countries, learning about traditions, cultures, and customs from around the globe.

This morning we gathered at Jammin’ Java for Java with John! We value the opportunity to connect with our community and have meaningful conversations about the future of Fayetteville Public Schools. Events like this create a welcoming space to ask questions and share ideas!

Former Superintendent Dr. John L. Colbert has been sharing the joy of reading by bringing Green Eggs and Ham to life at several elementary campuses. Today at Holcomb Elementary, students were all smiles and full of excitement during his lively performance!

Owl Creek Elementary has been celebrating Multicultural Week with meaningful opportunities for students to explore cultures and traditions from around the world! Thank you to the families and volunteers who made this time such a memorable experience for our students!

This morning at Happy Hollow, Mayor Molly Rawn proclaimed this week National School Breakfast Week, recognizing the important role school breakfast plays in student success. Since the start of the 2025–26 school year, every Arkansas student eats breakfast at school for free!

FPS’ annual District Art Show is now on display at the Fayetteville Public Library! You can view the collection in the McIlroy Hallway near the Event Center until April 6th, featuring over 140 pieces from Kindergarten through 12th grade!
