As said last week, the overall picture was already looking horrendous, so this crash isn’t really a surprise. Most people were expecting something like this. What did catch many off guard though, was the move in metals. Gold dropped nearly 15%, and Silver fell close to 40%. Retail & traditional finance people definitely weren’t ready for that. What’s ironic is that one of the main arguments against crypto has always been its volatility the idea that prices can suddenly collapse. This argument has completely been annihilated by this metals move. Not gonna lie, I don’t know if things get better from here soon. We all already know that buying extreme fear is the right way and yeah, we might see a small relief bounce so i'm not gonna make useless comments about this if I don't have any setup right now to share but hear me out (the scary part): I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a similar nuke in equities coming next, including the S&P and stocks in general. 5 months of hard mode and counting still. Big F.
