Today at #CERAWeek, Form Energy and @CrusoeAI announced a strategic supply agreement to deliver 12 gigawatt-hours of multi-day energy storage systems to support the rapidly growing power needs of AI data centers starting in 2027. The agreement ensures access to Form Energy’s 100-hour iron-air battery technology as Crusoe scales its AI infrastructure, supporting utility growth, insulating ratepayers from cost increases, and strengthening grid reliability. All battery systems will be manufactured at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, supporting American jobs and reinforcing U.S. leadership in advanced energy manufacturing. This builds on Form Energy’s recent announcement with @xcelenergy and @Google to deploy a 30 GWh iron-air battery system supporting a new data center in Minnesota — together highlighting the growing role of multi-day energy storage in unlocking new grid capacity and enabling faster speed-to-power for AI infrastructure. ☘️ Happy St. Patrick's Day — and what better day to announce Form Energy's first international project in Ireland, in partnership with @FuturEnergyIre! Today, Form Energy and FuturEnergy Ireland signed an agreement to jointly deploy a 10 MW / 1,000 MWh iron-air battery system in the northwest of Ireland. Anticipated to come online in 2029, this is Form's first announced international deployment — and the first of more to come. 🌍 Ireland is a pioneer in energy innovation, and uniquely suited to benefit from multi-day energy storage as it works to meet its ambitious energy targets, rising electricity demand, and the resilience needs of an island grid. The agreement was signed today at a ceremony at Form Energy's headquarters in the heart of the Boston area in Somerville, MA. ⚡️ Big news today: Form Energy will deploy a 300 MW / 30 GWh multi-day iron-air battery system with @xcelenergy to help power a new @Google data center in Minnesota. At 30 GWh, this is the largest battery system by energy capacity ever announced globally. 🌍 It also marks Form Energy’s first deployment for a data center — demonstrating the unique value of 100-hour iron-air batteries in meeting the 24/7 energy needs of the AI economy. The batteries for this project will be made in America at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia. 🇺🇸 Form Factory 1 has already started commercial production and is on track to reach a production capacity of 500 MW per year by 2028.
