@localcelebrity Ftr, I recognize I am not a typical “Oscar nominating committee” type movie fan, so I’m not really expecting it to get nominated (and I’m not gonna be crushed when that happens or anything)

@localcelebrity Disagree, I think it’s totally worthy of a best picture nom. Don’t think it should necessarily win, but I thought it was just phenomenal film making and story telling.

Thinking of watching a Godzilla movie to celebrate Godzilla Day today. I’ve seen a few Godzilla movies: The Latest American Ones, The 90’s Roland Emmerich One, Shin Godzilla, his cameo in Waxwork 2, and the Original. What are your recommendations for the best of the older films?

Upon second viewing it is a well thought out slasher with realistic characters that is MUCH better than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I may not be able to wear wear clothes that aren’t flannel, but I can admit when I’m wrong.

I have rewatched “X” in order to write jokes for the upcoming Kill Count and I was very wrong about this film. My first viewing experience was quite inebriated and in a backyard with folks that weren’t into the movie, so it was tainted.
