Last Friday, we proudly stood alongside @animal_equality at Downing Street, calling for a foie gras import ban 👊 Over 318,000 people have signed the petition calling for an end to the import of this cruel product. Birds being force fed for a so-called delicacy is abhorrent.

.@RuthJonesLabour closes the debate by saying: "Public opinion is clear, scientific evidence is clear, the economic case is clear. Let's stop the delay and get on with the action we need to end our complicity in this barbaric trade."

.@angelaeagle says that the Government is reviewing the evidence and will seek views from the working group they are setting up, but declines to comment on the SPS Agreement and whether fur falls in or out of scope but states that more will be shared when it is possible to do so.
