@foxfield we had a great afternoon dancing for our Diwali event. We were shown some moves we could make. It was lots of fun. Then after school we could try lots of different foods and make some lamps that we could take home.

@foxfield Wow!Would you believe we had a a strange object land in our playground.We made some predictions about it.Samuel said that the meteor had broken up and some landed in our playground.Others said it was a flying saucer or part of an asteroid.

Excitement filled the school as exotic animals visited! From snakes to chinchillas and frogs, the children were thrilled to meet them up close. With curiosity and courage, they touched, observed and asked great questions - making animal classification come alive!

@foxfield we invited #exoticexplorers in to show us the classification of animals.We saw snakes, cockroaches, frogs, owls and chinchillas.We were told that owls are not wise as they have a tiny brain.We found out that snakes shed their skin.

@foxfield we welcomed a local pastor to share what Christians do at Easter. She discussed her beliefs about Jesus and Easter, and about what the Christian community does . She shared why hot cross buns are eaten and about why Easter eggs are given at this time of year.

@foxfield we have been learning about the position of the sun and daylight hours.We identified the position of the sun and drew around our shadows.We repeated this at different times to see how our shadow changed.Kai said his shadow was shorter at lunchtime but longer 3pm.

@foxfield we identified numbers to 50 in different ways. We had the word, the number, the number of tens and ones and pictures of the amounts using numicon, tally charts and dienes. We had to match the numbers together using the different formats.We then wrote the numbers to 50.

@foxfield we came into class and saw it filled with balloons.There was a rucksack filled with different items. We had to predict who we thought the bag belonged to and why there were lots of balloons.Some of us said it belonged to an explorer,a thief or an adventurer.
