In my farewell to our board and staff, I reinforced the need to be humble in these unprecedented times and keep in mind the critical role individuals have in taking risks to push the boundaries of knowledge, technology, and enterprise.

Today I said goodbye to a great team at @IMFNews. It’s been a privilege to have been entrusted with leading the IMF during a period of crisis and an honor to serve alongside the world’s best minds tackling the world’s most complex economic issues.

Today we say goodbye to our terrific colleague @gwsokamoto. As #FDMD, he rolled up his sleeves as a vital part of our snr Mgmt team to help the IMF & our members through the pandemic. Geoffrey, thank you for your honest counsel, warmth & dedication to our global community. 🤙
