This colt by Ghaiyyath was beaten just over a length and given he was keen and the trip was probably on the sharp side there was a lot of encouragement. He has been given time since to fill his frame and now tackling a mile and a quarter I can see him proving tough to beat. I've been waiting to see LOVE BEACH again. I backed him the last twice and thought he caught the eye on penultimate start. I know he ran a bit flat on final outing but given plenty of time since I'd be confident he is a fair bit better than a mark of 83. There is lots more to come over this trip and as long as they don't go a stop start gallop he should be bang there at the finish. I'm hearing good things about TURRET so hopefully he can turn over the hotpot here on debut. This colt by Kingman cost 580,000 euros and is related to some very nice horses. Oisin Murphy is up and this looks a good starting point so hopefully the money keeps coming and he makes a bright start. Obviously there is always risk backing debutants but hopefully he knows his job. Joanna Mason ended a frustrating run riding Jojo Rabbit to success yesterday and she might be able to land another winner here in the shape of MOOSTAR. This filly has been shaping well in defeat since joining James Owen. She looks well handicapped and if improving again should have a great chance against this field. Expensive colt DOMENICO CONTARINI ran well despite failing to land the gamble on debut. He was beaten just a length at Newcastle and shaped like he'd come on tons for the run. I think the winner Exmoor is a very nice colt for Andrew Balding and I don't see anything of that calibre in here. If he improves as anticipated then he will open his account comfortably. He has some eye-catching entries too including the Guineas and the Derby. On another day HALLO SPACEBOY could easily have been the NAP as I really fancy him here. He improved with every run as a 2yo winning as expected at Newcastle on final start. He has plenty more to come moving back up to 6f now handicapping and is taken to have too much for these especially with the second favourite and seemingly main danger Arry Up carrying a penalty.

Saturday's horse racing thread 🧵 Newton Abbot 2.00 Limier D'arthel 9/4 Musselburgh 2.30 Al Qareem 5/4 NEXT BEST Haydock 2.46 Blue Carpet 5/2 Newton Abbot 3.49 Calimystic 9/4 Carlisle 4.05 Moyganny Phil 5/4 NAP Haydock 4.30 Brookside La 7/4 It was good to see LIMIER D'ARTHEL bounce back after an early tumble at Huntingdon. He went down just a length at Exeter last month and with more to come up slightly in trip he looks a horse to keep on side. Hopefully he will settle better as if he does I think he'll have too much for the short priced favourite Dutch Corner. This race revolves around AL QAREEM and if he turns up then quite simply he'll win. His form is better than these and the trip is ideal. Hopefully there is a bit of rain as that will only help his cause and I really don't see too many negatives. If Roaring Legend and Lady Vivian go forward he will just tuck in and however it is run he should prove tough to pass late on. That was a likeable effort from BLUE CARPET to beat Woodland Park at Wetherby. He has untapped potential as a stayer and if he improves again the rest will be playing catch up here. He has been strong in the betting which is reassuring and it should be another Saturday winner for the Skelton team. I've been impressed with CALIMYSTIC so far and he looks a good bet here to make it a perfect 3-3 over fences. His form is stacking up and despite another 6lb rise looks the one to side with. The yard remains in great form and he ticks plenty of boxes again. Kap Ouest looks good for the forecast. I'll be surprised if MOYGANNY PHIL doesn't get off the mark here. He looked badly outpaced before running home strongly at Huntingdon. This step up in trip is perfect and his form is working out well so if he improves he will beat these and comfortably too. Sean Bowen is on again and the owners could easily have a double in the last two races. I can see BROOKSIDE LA being a real gamble come post time. He looked the part winning at Wetherby and ran well here last time. He goes up to 3 miles and there should be lots more to come as his stamina is drawn out. I'm hearing good things from the yard about his chances here so hopefully gets the job done under Harry Skelton.
