On this Second Sunday of Christmas I celebrated First Holy Communion Preparation Programme Mass in @g_kparish at 11.30am as we reflected on the Word and words that shape our lives: ‘please’, ‘thanks’ and ‘I’m sorry’ @KANDLEi @theway_ie

Grateful for all our parish moments in 2025… here are just a few.

Every so often a prophet emerges among us. #SrStan was certainly one of those. She embodied Christ’s love for the poor, and drew attention to the multifaceted nature of poverty that often goes unnoticed. Her voice was a voice for the poor, highlighting unjust structures which keep people poor nowadays. Above all her hands and her heart reached out in practical action. May God reward her.🙏

Great to gather in @g_kparish to celebrate Youth Ministry with many young people present: GK Kids; GK Juniors; GK Seniors and GK Young Adults - what distinguishes youth ministry from a youth group is the central element of prayer @KANDLEi @theway_ie

I was privileged to spend the day in @PoorClaresCarl carrying out a visitation, great to meet the Federation President Sr. Gabrielle Murphy from the Poor Clares, Ennis who was also visiting @KANDLEi @g_kparish @theway_ie

Every blessing and good wish to Sr. Analiza on her election as Abbess in @PoorClaresCarl great to be with the community over these past two days @KANDLEi @theway_ie

All are welcome to our Annual Youth Ministry Mass this Sunday. 🕊️ We look forward to our new juniors receiving a special blessing from Bishop Denis at this Mass as an acknowledgment of their involvement in our parish since their Confirmation.

Yesterday we met with our First Years who have been involved in ministry since their Confirmation. We told them all about our new parish initiative, ‘The Carlo Acutis Award’ for our GK Parish Juniors. We are looking forward to signing them up! 🏅

Thank you to Hanna, Heidi, Imelda and Martin who distributed our new parish booklet this weekend. We’re steadily making our way through the parish. The aim is to knock on every single door in Graiguecullen and Killeshin so give us time, we’ll get there. 🩵

A great turnout for our @JP2Award registration night. It was lovely to see many young people that we had lost touch with since their Confirmation walk back through the doors this evening. Just one reason why the Pope John Paul II Award is a great resource for parishes.

Carlo Acutis has been very close to hearts for quite some time. Our Youth Ministry team have been busy planning our new programme ‘The GK Parish Carlo Acutis Award’. While we will pray to both Carlo and Pier Giorgio at all masses, Carlo is very much the focus of our 11.30am Mass.
