The Antitrust Division staff are cautious to a fault, so if they are skeptical, well, that says something about the legal liability for the sale of Discovery. Of course Slater will overrule them because she's weak, and if she weren't Trump would fire her. But still.

SCOOP: While the @WhiteHouse clearly favors @paramountco @Skydance to win @wbd bidding battle, the wild card will be the @JusticeATR and it’s career staffers who are skeptical, I am told, about all the potential bidders. Of course they work for a Trump appointee @AAGSlater, but I hear they have issues with all the major bidders ie $PSKY @comcast and @netflix. Still betting in media circles is that they cant diss the boss on this one. Story developing

From K-8 Grade my sons would go to Mass every Wednesday morning with their Catholic school. It was always a joy to see their smiling faces as they tried hard not to fidget and gradually became baby Catholics. There are no words to comfort the grieving families in Minneapolis, but prayer and showing up must surely help. RIP
