@dayvales @tfwrail I didnt ask a particularly difficult question - i just wondered if it was related to the work or this is a new permanent change. I can imagine the already overcrowded services will be doubly so which I cant see as being very helpful at the Oxford Road island platform

@tfwrail @ganye91 “Capacity concerns” what does that mean? It won’t stop at Newton Le Willows because there’s too many people wanting to use the train? The curve station at Earlestown has been there for 150 years. Why is it a problem now?

@tfwrail morning - are TFW trains not servicing Earlestown and newton le willows due to the work at Manchester or is this a new timetable change? Its hard to work out from the website

@tfwrail Yes thats what it says on the website but it didnt mention any change to the normal hourly service. Im wondering why the normal service which looks to be at the same time from Warrington is no longer calling to earlestown and newton le willows

@ganye91 Hi Gareth, due to engineering works, services from the North and West that would normally run through Manchester Piccadilly will terminate at Manchester Oxford Road. We are running an hourly service from Chester/North Wales to Manchester Oxford Road. ^Tudur

Lovely time, awful scoreline Gareth Taylor needs to go now unfortunately, he didnt even appear to be on the touchline for the second half. #lfcwomen have no identity and look like 11 strangers Such a shame #lfc #wsl #SubwayWLC #liverpoolwomen

Delighted to share i will be joining the Society for Endocrinology Science Committee from March 2026 through to 2030. Hoping this will be another huge boost to an already highly successful department and programme with Biomedical Science at Salford

Thanks @LFC @LFCRetail @LiverpoolFCW for an amazing day again at Liverpool women vs Chelsea today and for choosing Gracie as your scavenger hunt winner! Such a big effort from the team to make the matchday experience inclusive for everyone but encourage young girls into football is so great!

Quick analysis from the #liverpool women vs Cheslea game obviously amazing result but still lacking forward players subs? I know the game was tightly poised but some energy could have made the difference, especially with all of Chelseas subs seemed to be holding back for long spells not wanting to over commit some signs of life at least! #wsl #WomensFootball #lfc #football

Today is World Diabetes day Diabetes is serious and with better awareness lives could be saved. Type 1 diabetes can happen at any age however it can progress more quickly in those who are younger. Always be on the look out for the 4 ts thinning thirsty tired toilet Type 1 diabetes is a very simple disease, the cells supposed to fight off infections fight your pancreas, stopped the ability to make insulin. Insulin is the key that opens the door for sugar to enter cells and makes energy. Without energy, your body cant function. In reality though, managing the condition is a full time job. On average, a diabetic will make nearly 200 extra decisions per day. If you want to know what thats like - set an alarm on your phone to go off every 5 minutes for an hour. Set the alarm to be the most irritating sound you can. Everytime that goes off, imagine having to check your blood sugar and decide whats goes to happen next. Diabetes doesnt have to run your life, but its always there in the shadow lurking. The 4 Ts can occur over a long period or like Gracie can all come very quickly. They often appear when your body has to use fat for energy which turns the blood acidic. Without the right care and treatment when she did, Gracie wouldnt have woken up from her diabetic ketoacidosis coma and wouldnt be here today. I like to think she's still here because shes got a purpose to do and shes certainly doing her best! She is an amazing advocate for diabetes and isnt afraid to tell anyone about her condition and her journey. Our fight for the amazing technology she now has made a small ripple in a big pond, helping others out there get the same. But most importantly and strange to say it today, Gracie isnt defined by her diabetes, she defines it and to anyone else shes just an average child. Like Gracie, we hope one day there will be a cure but thanks to all the amazing people who have been a part of our diabetes journey so far, we are living life alongside the condition and living life to the fullest. #worlddiabetesday #worlddiabetesday2025 #diabetes #journorequest #UK #health #awareness #type1diabetes #t1d

"This study gives us a missing piece of the puzzle, explaining why type 1 diabetes progresses so much faster in children than in adults." - Rachel Connor, Breakthrough T1D Scientists from the Type 1 Diabetes Grand Challenge have discovered that type 1 diabetes progresses more aggressively in children - particularly those diagnosed before age seven. As cells are destroyed before they can become larger and more resilient, young children lose their insulin production more rapidly. It been a privilege to work with @DiabetesUK over the past few weeks, telling Gracies story and being involved in media pieces for new ground breaking research. Its such a shame other news has turned the spotlight away from what remains a huge leap forward in understanding how and why children like Gracie develop diabetes so rapidly. Ultimately its one step towards stopping unneeded deaths due to undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes and makes finding a cure, that little bit closer bbc.co.uk/news/articles/
