4 days and 4 planes later our small but mighty crew is home in Toronto/Ottawa. Offline for a bit to catch up with life.

Thanks to the staff at Eureka Weather Station for keeping our science going and for letting us take part in theirs. There really is no better place to run a campaign from my perspective. We’ll be back.

Pack of 3 wolves on station sniffing around. They were interested in our gear again.

I guess the rest of the pack is curious about what we are doing way out on the ice.

Installed our ice mass balance buoy on the second year ice today. This will give us a view on what happens when we leave and the melt begins.

Been station bound the last two days with high winds (60 km/h) and low visibility. 🤞for better conditions tomorrow

Lots of exposed surface on the second-year ice near Nansen Sound. The refrozen melt ponds are a stunning blue.
