This is what Mo Salah meant…. No endless passing. No boring build-up. Win the ball and attack like your life depends on it. Heavy metal Liverpool is football at its finest.

A great moment for Zimbabwe's athletics team last night, winning gold in Accra in the men's 4x400m relay, only the second time ever for Zim to take gold at the African Athletics Championships after winning gold in the same event in Brazzaville in 2004.

🇿🇼 Tino Kadewere was unstoppable tonight. Introduced in the 59th minute, he scored twice and provided an assist to power Aris to a commanding 3-0 victory over Levadiakos in the Super League Greece. A true super sub performance from the Zimbabwean forward. 59’ subbed on. 64’ goal. 72’ assist. 80’ goal. Tino Kadewere changed the game in just 21 minutes. 🇿🇼🔥 #Zimbabwe #arisfc #Greece #Kadewere #Zimfootball

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

This cricket ground in Vic Falls takes the biscuit. Whoever came up with the idea deserves the Gong! It has been in the cards for a long time during Mugabe’s era and finally it has come into fruition. It’s going to be one of the most popular cricket stadiums in the world and it will draw huge cricket fanbase into the Vic Falls tourism ecosystem. (Image: @AdamTheofilatos)

She is the very first female Chief Justice of #Zimbabwe. Chief Justice Elizabeth Gwaunza! Ndiri kufara. She is my mentor at many levels, since my early professional days as a young lawyer. I sat on that table as the youngest, when CJ Gwaunza Co founded the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association, @ZimWomenLawyers. Fresh from Uni, I was trusted to serve as the founding coordinator. She believed in us the young lawyers. At WLSA, CJ Gwaunza created time to mentor us into legal research on women's rights and the law, as critical to addressing discrimination, and stereotypes embedded in the content and practice of the law.. For many years she led us and engaged advocacy work around key family law related issues affacting women, the Matrimonial Causes Act, inheritance law, at national, regional and global leve. She helped us understand the strength of Venia Magaya as an individual as well as full meaning of the Magaya vs Magaya judgement. When I was appointed to the United Nations, she came all the way to Murewa, to our Magaya village, to simply wish me well in my new role. I paid my courtesy call to her during my recent official mission to Zimbabwe. We discussed the importance on the theme on UNCSW70, and it's theme on Access to Justice. Presence of and the role of women in the Justice system is critical at all level. Celebrating this very very special moment. Makorokoto veduwe! Congratulations Zimbabwe. Congratulations Africa. For our daughters and sons, and for humanity. @GuildCatholic @RozariaConnects

The courtesy call highlights the end of the Resident Coordinator’s four-year term in Zimbabwe. In his farewell remarks, Hon. Prof. dr. Murwira underscored that the United Nations is a vital partner in advancing Zimbabwe’s national development priorities and long-term vision, in line with the broader global agenda for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. Prof. Murwira further commended Mr. Kallon’s consistent and dependable leadership of the UN Country Team, establishing an enduring partnership with the Government to ensure that the new Zimbabwe-United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework is aligned with the country’s Vision to achieve an Upper- Middle -Income society by 2030. In his response, Mr. Kallon expressed gratitude for the humility and hospitality of the Zimbabwean people during his four-year term.
