Every Macross show after 7 runs into the problem where you realize Nekki Basara would have probably resolved that shit so quickly. I don't think he would have gelled well with the future casts maybe outside of Ranka and Freyja but he would have been on that shit

Feel like you don't see any goths or any of those alt subcultures in general after the end of the 2010s. I'm not talking a girl with black hair and lipstick, I mean like a goth. I think everyone's too self-conscious now or grown out of it.
