@adampollock A tablespoonful of cayenne? Sounds way too much for Katsu or indeed any recipe

Then, add a large pinch of salt, and a tablespoonful of each of the five spices. Give this all a mix together, adding more olive oil if it gets too dry, and cook for two minutes further.

Katsu curry is one of those beautiful, fulfilling meals. Made with lots of chicken stock, vegetables, & spices, and some chicken in panko breadcrumbs, fried in olive oil. It’s simple yet delicious. In this thread I’ll show you how to make it!

The rhymes are imperfect in the verse you send, but they have some poetical feeling. We are sure you had pleasure in writing them, so by all means continue, but please do not send them to us for publication.

@GirlsOwn We hear that there is a growing craze for setting heartfelt verse to music, often featuring such whimsical instruments as banjos and impromptu percussion such as washboards, and performing in public spaces; perhaps this is your niche?

@GirlsOwn I ain't got the time for to make everything rhyme, it's the poetical feeling with my genius congealing and creating something nice like I do when cooking with cream and rice, sometimes twice in the same day. O fey o fey. Don't publish me then, see if I care, Gorillas' Own.

@JoEdkins Publishes some, to me, painfully bad poetry but not from correspondents. They are sending in faint hope of publication but mainly hoping to be an exception to the criticism I think. And as she often comments, young people love writing morbid poetry.

@GirlsOwn I don't think this one is too bad. It does suggest the writer should carry on writing poetry. I am curious. Did Girls Own Advice ever publish poetry? If not, why did people keep sending it?
