For json output from tool calls it seems like Opus 4.6 outperforms GPT 5.4. Though across the board, both prefer non-json output from tools. (@gitbutler now has an end-to-end benchmark for agentic use which has been giving us lots of signal)

@gitbutler I just discovered `gitbutler_update_branches` This seems like a _way_ better solution than all the things I've been trying and issues I've been running into. will try that and report back!! I think I'll build my own skill instead of doing MCP bc I don't like mcp context bloat

kinda obsessed with @gitbutler + Claude Code as a workflow. running agents in parallel and having changes automatically go into separate branches is HUGE

@gitbutler ah, my first understanding was too optimistic it seems. the description of changes is not used to filter unstaged changes into branches. if two agents work in parallel, this seemingly defaults to commit changes to the first stack? not to the one that these changes relate to?

been using @gitbutler for a week and holy shit i was manually creating git worktrees like a caveman to work on multiple things. now i just have 6 virtual branches going at once, same directory, zero context switching drag commits around, undo literally anything, never touching rebase -i again why did no one tell me about this sooner. you guys should definitely give this a try

The team has been working on a CLI for GitButler for months now and we just announced our technical preview. Just run `but` in any git repository and automatically get parallel and stacked branches, undo, crazy simple commit editing, AI stuff, GitHub integration. I honestly don't like using Git anymore.
