@PhilColl_ICL @TrumpTurnberry The creeping bent DLI of 30 has always interested me. Couple of courses further north than us have recently converted to creeping bent. That will be interesting. Rye under 10 we are told, poa/bent/fescue somwhere in the middle. What’s your thoughts?

@golfcoursemana1 @TrumpTurnberry Excellent! Do you see a correlation between ranges of DLI and associate to growth like you do with temps? Eg strong growth potential above a DLI of X? Or limited to no growth below Y DLI? Ive read of ranges but just wondered if you have experience/thoughts on it?

2025 produced 157 “good” growing days @TrumpTurnberry compared with 119 in 2024. With G.P maxing out in 2025 more than I have seen. For reference we use 20 as our “optimum” temp & base our high & lows from our on-site weather station THSW reading which we find more accurate.

@PhilColl_ICL @TrumpTurnberry It’s an excellent point. I will run those numbers against each other. high DLI/low GP would not result in strong growth as temps are the driving the bus. Conversely low DLI/high GP & we are growing. How much DLI is the difference making the difference. Species dependent also

@PhilColl_ICL @TrumpTurnberry Morning Phil we sure do using Marks prodata reports every 15 mins from our Vantage pro. The info it gives us is priceless including DLI. Great to see it finally becoming more of a talking point here. Micah & Bjarni have been discussing DLI for a few years now on podcasts.

@golfcoursemana1 Played King Robert The Bruce course on 21st May. Great condition. The greens were so good that I birdied all three par 3s on the back 9! Never done that before! Great job to you and your staff.
