Proud to sign HB26-1031 into law — a bipartisan effort to protect Colorado’s farmers, ranchers, and the integrity of the Colorado Proud label.
Thanks to the leadership of Representative Matt Soper, Representative Matthew Martinez, Senator Dylan Roberts, and Senator Marc Catlin, this new law ensures that when products are labeled Colorado-grown, they truly come from our state.
From Palisade peaches to Pueblo green chiles and San Luis Valley potatoes, we’re protecting the foods that make Colorado proud. 🌽🍑🌶️

One year after sweeping tariffs were introduced, the impact has only gotten worse. I met with small business owners, manufacturers, and industry leaders to hear directly how rising costs and uncertainty are increasing prices and affecting their ability to grow and hire. Tariffs are a tax — and we need policies that support Colorado businesses, not hold them back.

🏆 Lathrop State Park wins! Colorado’s first state park takes the crown in this year’s State Parks Bracket — an unscripted Cinderella story chosen by voters.
Colorado is home to 43 state parks, offering every Coloradan and visitor a range of activities to enjoy our iconic outdoors. I am very excited that Lathrop was voted Colorado’s favorite state park. Lathrop has a deep history in Colorado and was named Colorado’s first state park in 1962. Since becoming a state park, Lathrop has become a boaters' and anglers' paradise, with fantastic views of the Spanish Peaks. I hope all Colordans have a chance to visit Lathrop.

From space, Victor Glover shared a simple but powerful message: “You are special.”
It’s a reminder that no matter where we come from, every person matters and belongs. Here in Colorado, we’re building a Colorado for All — where everyone is valued, respected, and has the opportunity to thrive.

Donald Trump’s so-called “Mad King” tariffs are still hitting Coloradans hard. Coloradans paid more than $1.1 billion in tariffs last year, creating uncertainty for employers, raising prices, and impacting industries across our state — from agriculture to aerospace.

I am very excited to recognize Colorado’s 22 Purple Star Schools serving military families with distinction. Education is a top priority for my administration, and ensuring that our military-connected students and families have access to schools and education with the resources and support to thrive is key to caring for those who bravely serve our nation in uniform.

This April, we recognize National Donate Life Month and honor the organ donors who have given the gift of life to others.
At the Colorado State Capitol, we raised the Donate Life flag with the Colorado DMV (@CO_DMV) and Donate Life Colorado (@donatelifeco) in tribute to donors’ legacy and the lives they’ve saved.
Thank you to our hospitals, community partners, and to everyone who has chosen to be a donor.
Every year, nearly 1 million Coloradans check “yes” when they get their driver’s license or state ID.
Check the box to save and heal lives. Learn more at donatelifecolorado.org.

Coloradans showed up in a big way to help name our future passenger rail — and the results are in!
Meet CoCo 🚆
Thank you to the more than 25,000 Coloradans who voted, shared ideas, and helped shape this next chapter for the Front Range Passenger Rail District. I’m thrilled to welcome the expertise and leadership of Stephanie Beasley and Gretchen Hammer into these important roles. Their experience and passion for public service will strengthen Colorado and the people we serve. Stephanie comes to us from the Department of Early Childhood (@COEarlyChild), and Gretchen has previously served with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing as the Medicaid Director. I know that both of them will continue the important work of expanding access and reducing costs for the care people need, whether it’s for physical or mental health.
