My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country. I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.

Another night. Another full house. This time in Orono. Our back of the napkin math says I've talked to 30,000 Maine voters in person. Meeting all of you has been the privilege of a lifetime.

They actually think filling our mailboxes with this garbage (instead of actually talking to voters) wins elections.

As our DC Democratic establishment friends are so fond of reminding us, we need to nominate the most electable candidate.

Thirteen American servicemen and women lost their lives. We’re tens of billions of dollars poorer. Iran’s nuclear program is untouched, and 1,500 civilians lie dead. It was for nothing. Worse than nothing.

Our second overflow town hall in 24 hours. Thank you to the people of Maine, who refuse to let DC tell them how to vote or how to think.

Susan Collins is sinking a billion American dollars a day into this pointless and horrific war in Iran, writing Trump a blank check as he threatens to massacre a nation. We're putting this ad on TV all across Maine to call her out and pressure Senator Collins to stop this war.

War is not a game.

Susan Collins: the president is openly threatening a massacre in Iran, and you and your Republican colleagues have the power to stop him. Stop him. Before it’s too late.

We are the richest society in human history. We can have universal health care. We can have universal child care. We can have universal public higher ed. We can have a tax code that pulls back all the wealth that was stolen from the working class over the past 50 years.

Easter embodies the idea that the past does not bind the future, that stunning new possibilities are open to us if we decide to rise, and that the only way we rise is together.

Once upon a time Susan Collins was a moderate on climate change. Then the fossil fuel industry showered her with hundreds of thousands of dollars, and she's been a great friend to Big Oil ever since. I won't take their money and I won't take their orders.

Over the last eight months, I've sadly had to deal with a certain kind of person. They're in DC, they think they're political geniuses, and they view us up in Maine as a malleable mass to be manipulated, messaged to, and tricked. And their time is over.

The party of "fiscal conservatives" wants $1.5 trillion for the Pentagon. Gleefully lighting our tax dollars on fire.

The last time there was an oil blockade in the Middle East, we suffered crippling economic conditions and we got a decade of stagflation. That will be Donald Trump's economic legacy.

Today brings a fresh reminder of the horrors of war that lie behind disgusting comments like this one.

I found myself deeply moved by last night's Seder. The Passover story is one of action, and we are in a time where our action is required. Thank you to all who made it possible.
