Noni Madueke is a doubt to face Arsenal’s first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Sporting due to a knee injury.
England winger Madueke went to ground after a collision with Uruguay’s Rodrigo Aguirre in the 38th minute of Friday’s 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium.
After the match, Madueke walked through Wembley’s media mixed zone with a knee brace on his left leg, sparking fears of a serious issue.
However, sources briefed on the injury believe that it is a minor issue, with the forward likely to miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton on Saturday and possibly the first game against Sporting on April 7.

Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze is set to be sidelined for at least a month with a calf injury.
The 27-year-old was not in Arsenal’s squad for Sunday’s 2-0 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City because of a calf injury, sustained against Bayer Leverkusen last Tuesday.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed on Sunday that Eze was due to undergo another scan on the injury, which saw him withdraw from England’s squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.
Arsenal are awaiting the full prognosis, but current expectations are that he will miss between four and six weeks.

Dropping Kepa for the Carabao Cup final would have been an utterly ruthless piece of management.
It would have been cold, hard-headed and brutally pragmatic.
Which is why it seems odd that Mikel Arteta didn’t do it.

In the much-hyped coaching duel between Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta, it was the more experienced manager who came out on top.
Arteta’s major team selection dilemma came around his goalkeeper.
He chose to reward Kepa Arrizabalaga with the start. That backfired.
It was also somewhat surprising that Arteta chose to stick with Piero Hincapie at half-time, even though the Ecuador international was carrying a booking and struggling to cope with Antoine Semenyo.
Manchester City scored two goals, both of which were created on the left side of Arsenal’s defence.
It was Manchester City’s press that was more effective; City’s players who looked more composed and comfortable on the ball.
At Wembley, Guardiola won the battle.
With Arsenal still holding a commanding lead in the Premier League, Arteta will still retain confidence he can win the war.

In February 2018, Pep Guardiola won his first trophy with Manchester City: the Carabao Cup.
When he held it aloft, Mikel Arteta was standing right beside him.
“Winning titles helps you to win more,” Guardiola stated in his post-match press conference. “It is so important to win the first one. It is going to help us in the Premier League — where we will try to win the rest of our games — and the Champions League.”
Three months later, Guardiola lifted the Premier League trophy too, with assistant Arteta again at his elbow.
Now Arsenal manager, Arteta has seen at first-hand the galvanising power this particular piece of silverware can have on the team who win it. This weekend, he seeks to harness it for himself, at Guardiola’s expense.
