We had a great time at Kindergarten Transition Night with our future Spartans!

Mrs. Kennedy’s 5th grade classes had a presentation from the Penn State 4H department. The presenter shared information about eggs and embryology to prepare them for their chickens they will be hatching in April.

Who knew analyzing literature could turn into a full-on escape room challenge?! 🕵️‍♀️ Shoutout to Mrs. Stewart and Ms. Bosley for proving English class can be an adventure! 🗝️

Over the past few weeks, our second grade students at West Hempfield Elementary have shined as young authors! Inspired by animal stories like The Three Little Pigs, they created imaginative tales such as The Three Little Penguins and the Big Bad Polar Bear. 📚

Earlier this week, HASD stakeholders and county educators gathered at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg to view Multiple Choice and explore the future of high school education. Thank you to our speakers and partners who made the night inspiring and impactful.

Congratulations to Mrs. Colinet, whose hydroponics grant submission was selected as the overall winner by the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit’s panel of judges! 🌱We’re so excited to see this vision come to life and how it will inspire hands-on learning in the classroom.
