.@howardlutnick: The states run these elections. If they want to use the U.S. Postal Service, they're going to get a barcode from the USPS, and they're going to put that on the envelope, and we will have one envelope per vote — none of this stuff where there's no certainty.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

.@POTUS prepares to sign an Executive Order to deal with a number of issues on election integrity: "We're going to ensure that each state's election officials are provided with a comprehensive view of who the eligible voters in their jurisdiction actually are...and then, it orders the Postmaster General and the U.S. Postal Service to take bold new measures to verify that ballots are... being sent to people who are eligible to vote, and that ballots being returned are being properly returned by eligible voters only."

Thank you @HowardLutnick for joining the Semiconductor Industry Association Board @SIAAmerica for an important discussion on strengthening America’s leadership in semiconductors and expanding our domestic manufacturing footprint. We deeply appreciate the open dialogue and partnership with @CommerceGov as we work together to accelerate America’s tech stack and expand opportunities across the U.S. workforce.

Secretary Lutnick met with leaders from the Semiconductor Industry Association, hosted by @LisaSu. The American tech stack is the gold standard: • U.S. companies dominate advanced chip design • American firms design the processors that power the vast majority of AI systems and data center compute worldwide • The United States leads in the highest-value parts of the stack, from chip architecture to AI infrastructure The Trump Administration is focused on bringing more semiconductor manufacturing home and strengthening America’s leadership across the full tech stack.

A huge day in Ohio. We just broke ground on a $33 billion, Japanese-funded investment bringing more than 9 gigawatts of natural gas power and a major new data center complex to the state. This project will create thousands of jobs, lower electricity costs for American families, and deliver the energy infrastructure needed to power the AI economy. This was only made possible by President Trump’s trade and tariff policy!!

Susie has been a warrior for President Trump and this administration. She’s one of the toughest, most disciplined people I know and a world class fighter. If anyone can beat this quickly, it’s Susie. We’re all behind her.

Statement from Secretary Howard Lutnick: MASSIVE AMERICA FIRST TRADE WIN: President Trump has approved the first three projects under Japan’s $550 billion investment commitment to the United States as part of our historic U.S.–Japan trade deal. These projects represent a $36 billion commitment in key sectors of our economy -- power generation, oil and gas, and advanced manufacturing. This is what strategic trade looks like. First, in Ohio, together with Japan we will develop the largest natural gas generation facility in history, generating 9.2 gigawatts of power. We will strengthen grid reliability, expand baseload power, and support American manufacturing with affordable energy. Second, we will build a critically important deepwater crude oil export facility in the Gulf of America. This project is expected to generate $20–30 billion annually in U.S. crude exports, secure export capacity for our refineries, and reinforce America’s position as the world’s leading energy supplier. Third, we will create synthetic industrial diamond manufacturing capacity in the United States which will onshore production 100 percent of U.S. demand for synthetic diamond grit, a critical input for advanced industrial and technological production. We will no longer rely on foreign supply for this essential material. Together, these projects are expected to deliver thousands of high-quality American jobs. Japan is providing the capital. The infrastructure is being built in the United States. The proceeds are structured so Japan earns its return, and America gains strategic assets, expanded industrial capacity, and strengthened energy dominance. I am grateful to the President for his leadership and to the Government of Japan for their partnership. The future has never been brighter.

For the first time in over two years the United States has delivered manufacturing expansion, all thanks to President Trumps trade policies. Tariffs are working as we said strengthening American manufacturing while reducing imports. Once again, the so-called experts were wrong.

President Trump’s America First trade agenda is focused on driving down imports and surging exports. In just one year, we’ve delivered on both. Foreign contracts supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce alone surged to $244 billion last year. We’re just getting started. reuters.com/business/aeros…

Nearly 148M Americans are under winter storm watches stretching 2,000 miles from New Mexico to Maine as a slow-moving system brings snow, ice, and extreme cold. ❄️ What’s different: The @NWS is deploying hurricane hunter aircraft over both the Pacific and the Gulf of America—a rare, two-front operation—to collect high-resolution data and sharpen forecasts. ⚠️ Why it matters: Just 1–2 degrees or 40–50 miles could mean the difference between freezing rain or heavy snow for major cities. Parts of the South face serious ice threats and multi-day power outage risks, with cold temperatures persisting into next week. ⏱️Prepare now: ✔️ Ensure your phone is charged and have a backup battery available ✔️ Stock food, water, medications, and flashlights for several days ✔️ Use space heaters and generators and follow proper safety guidelines ✔️ Check on seniors, neighbors, and those with medical needs ✔️ Bring pets indoors and ensure they have food and warmth ✔️ Follow updates from the National Weather Service
