Reception have been exploring the outdoor woodland area these last few weeks and observing the seasonal changes around them! 🍂🦉

We are having a series of Reception open days to showcase our fantastic EYFS provision and learning environment. Wednesday 8th October 2025 @ 10.00am-11.30am Thursday 9th October 2025 @ 1.30pm-3.00pm Wednesday 22nd October 2025 @ 3.30pm-5.00pm All welcome!

We still have places in our wonderful EYFS Reception for this year. If you would like to come and have a look around at the wonderful learning environment, get in touch and we would be happy to show you around. Alternatively, you may want to put your name down for next year! 🤩

Do you shop at Tesco? From 1st April you will be able to vote for Haslam Park Primary School in local stores for the Tesco Stronger Starts Scheme! Your vote will help improve the health and fitness opportunities our children have, increasing the amount of exercise taking place.

Today, Year 1 and 3 have been given the opportunity to take part in a community tree planting event with ‘City of Trees’ in the park. We love our local park and feel very fortunate to be able to watch these trees grow, knowing that we played a part in helping our park thrive.

Our School councillors have been busy looking at, reviewing and selecting our new outdoor Library Leaders. This is a big responsibility for our School Council. Good luck everybody!

This half term, the children have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk. Today, Reception planted their very own bean… hopefully, it will grow taller than Jacks! 🌱

Today, Year 3 have had visitors from the University of Manchester to teach us all about oral hygiene. We have had a very fun and practical morning, learning about what we need to do to keep our teeth health. Did you know we have 700 different bacterias in our mouths???? 😱🤯

This week in Year 1, we have been exploring are artistic skills by creating different types of lines. We are so proud of your work 🖌️@kapowprimary

We’ve had great fun today celebrating World Book Day. In English, we have enjoyed reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes and have produced some excellent pieces of writing. Today, we made Iron Man potato characters for a bit of fun and thoroughly enjoyed it! #WBD

WOW! Year 6 have created survival guides based on their class novel Kensuke’s Kingdom. Luckily Mrs Weston’s class chose this book for their door! 🏝️
