@Osint613 The Hawarden / Broughton aeroplane factory is where PA474 was built. PA474 is one of only 2 remaining Lancaster bombers which are fully airworthy and regularly files at air displays as part of the BBMF. The other Lancaster, FM213, is based in Canada.

@Osint613 It's being retired because it and 4 other Beluga ST were replaced by the even bigger Beluga XL fleet. It is fitting that it will remain at Hawarden / Broughton. This Airbus factory once built wings for the A380. However, the history of this final resting place doesn't stop there.

@cadwwales I am just curious.... How on earth can you "close" Basingwerk Abbey? Will the entrance gate be locked? Will there be security fencing erected? Will there be security patrols? Will the public footpaths be fenced off, barricaded or otherwise closed? CCTV?

@every_station Where proper "keys" are used to open room doors in hotels, this has been the normal situation for ever, in most countries inc. UK. Ignoring the rule has always been the normal situation too. Where door locks are operated by credit card style, "key cards" this is no longer a rule.

This is of course St Pauls Cathedral in #London. The photograph was captured from the Millenium Bridge, a steel suspension footbridge which crosses the River Thames

Built on the highest point in this city, the original church on this site was built in 604 AD. A Grade 1 listed building, designed by Sir Christopher Wren. But where is this?

Believe it, this grungy greenhouse which seems to be semi-abandoned is within the @altontowers theme park. #Smiler and #Nemesis are names of roller coasters. The theme park is built on the private estate of the Earls of Shrewsbury. The abandoned mansion and gardens remain.

Prepare to be thrilled as you go on a #RollerCoasterRide of guessing where this greenhouse is! Guess correctly, and you'll be a smiler! Guess wrong and it'll be your nemesis! Where is this?

This weathered natural sandstone formation resembles a cork from a bottle. It's known as The Cork Stone.. Located in a National Park, where is this?

This almost perfect #traditional English village scene with thatched cottages has appeared on many chocolate boxes and jigsaw puzzles. Despite being #English, it is necessary to take a ferry to visit this beautiful place. But, where is this?

#FilmNoir. Film Noir is a style of film making characterised by dim lighting, dodgy detectives, femme fatales, mean city streets and a tragic tone. GT thinks this scene in a #Roman city in North West #England would be perfect. But can you guess, where is this?

This ruined & #abandoned castle is in the care of #CADW. Built in the late 1200s and slighted in the mid 1600s under the orders of Oliver Cromwell. It features in William #Shakespeare's play, King Richard II. It also features in a JMW Turner watercolour. But where is this?

This city has more #bicycles than people who live there. In a country where each person owns about 1.5 bicycles. It's fair to say that the people of this city are enthusiastic #cyclists, but there are very very few hills! Where is this?

This disused lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse built of bricks, about 660,000 hand made bricks! Over 260 years old, it became disused in 1908. The last keeper was Mrs. Williams. It is a Grade 2 listed building and is occasionally open to the public. But where is it?

This is, of course, St. Margarets Church, also known as the Marble Church at the side of the #A55 expressway, #Bodelwyddan. Familiar to millions of drivers travelling to and from North #Wales. Discover it's remarkable connection with #Canada in our video! youtu.be/rXhoHpMVbeo

This stunning lime stone church is visible from miles around and is a familiar landmark to the thousands of motorists who pass the church every day. It has a remarkable connection with Canada. It does have a "nick name" locally, but it is NOT the Lime Stone Church. Where is this?

This #statue clearly depicts #Archimedes when he had his #Eureka moment. Although judging by the look on his face, perhaps he's just saying "**** that's hot!" But where is this?
