Japanese soldier Shoichi Yokoi (1915 - 1997) is emotionally overcome on his return to Tokyo on February 2nd, 1972. Stationed on the island of Guam in 1944, Yokoi went into hiding as American forces reconquered the island and spent the next 28 years living in a cave and hunting for food by night. He was discovered by two fishermen in January 1972.
