What an incredible harvest at the Lansdowne apple orchard! 🍎 Special thanks to the City for welcoming us as we gathered an impressive 1,695 lbs of apples this year.

Last week, Hidden Harvest volunteers picked an incredible 264 lbs of plums! 🍑 We’re thrilled that these amazing local plums were shared with the Heron Emergency Food Shelter, where they’ll help provide fresh, nutritious produce to those in need 💚

Since its start in 2012, Hidden Harvest has rescued over 100,000 pounds of fresh, local produce and shared it with food agencies and community members. These efforts have diverted about 18 tonnes of CO2e to date. Learn more: envirocentre.ca/hidden-harvest…

A ‘fruit’-ful thanks to our incredible volunteers! 💚 We harvested nearly 200 lbs of plums from a Centretown tree and were able to share plenty of fresh fruit with Capital City Mission and Shepherds of Good Hope.
