Candle-Lit Ski at Moose Mountain is BACK!!

This Friday (January 13 at 7 p.m.), Moose Mountain Provincial Park is hosting its Candle-Lit Ski event.

Glide through the park along 3.2 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, as hundreds of candles light your way 🕯️

5 Spooky places to check out this weekend 🎃

These adorable little birds, known as chickadees, can be found all over the @Meewasin Valley, but are mainstays of Beaver Creek Conservation Area. Interpreters provide visitors with black oil sunflower seeds, which the chickadees love & will eat right from your hands! 1/3 🧵

Chickadees are one of the smallest birds to survive in northern climates during the winter. They do this by using their own body fat to keep them warm. Spending most of their days eating seeds, berries, insects, and occasionally fat from animal carcasses. 2/3 🧵

Conservation areas like Beaver Creek are designated areas set aside to protect and enhance natural ecosystems. These areas also provide habitat for rare, threatened and species at risk and contribute to a larger inter-connected corridor for wildlife. 3/3 🧵

FINALLY made it to the Golden Grain Bakery in Melfort to try their famous bismarks!!

The tamarack, also know as a larch, is one of the most widely spread tree species in Canada. Unlike other North American trees with needles, the tamarack is deciduous, which means its soft, pale green needles turn a golden yellow before being shed each fall. 📍Porcupine Hills
