Delo claims he is based in Hong Kong and does not appear on the electoral roll. The Sanctuary is not a legal entity registered in the UK, nor is The Ben Delo Foundation. But one beneficiary described Delo’s work at the Sanctuary as a “quiet revolution” in British politics.

The Spectator, a right wing news magazine owned by Paul Marshall, falsely accused a HOPE not hate journalist of committing a serious criminal offence. They were forced to retract the story and apologise. But instead of stopping there, The Spectator couldn’t resist one more swing.

The Bristol Patriots have since attempted to distance themselves from “other groups who were invited to the march by certain individuals within our community”. The group has also suspended its Facebook page, writing: “Stay tuned. Change is coming.” We'll be watching.
