A final thank you to City and County road crews, law enforcement and first responders. We could not get through these storms as successfully as we do without you. Enjoy time with your families - Merry Christmas to all.

Howard County is moving to Yellow Travel Advisory. Please continue to dress warm, have emergency items in your car and drive slowly. Many roads will show some dry pavement and then there will be snow cover or ice patches. Please be alert and continue to drive with caution.

Thank you Howard County Residents - many of you stayed home or minimized your travel and that helped our city and county crews immensely. We appreciate your support with the travel advisories.

UPDATE: Howard County will remain on Orange Travel Advisory. Orange "Watch" means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a watch local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations is recommended.

Howard County has moved to ORANGE travel status. Essential travel only. With wind and cold temperatures best to stay home if possible. We continue to evaluate.

Howard county will begin the Yellow travel advisory, 12/22/22 at 3 PM. As the storm progresses we will adjust as necessary. The winds and cold temperatures will be a big challenge. As the storm/winds pick up and temperatures drop, please stay at home or inside as much as you can.

Honored Charlie Sparks with the Pillar of The Community Award. Charlie is retiring from @GreaterKokomo after a 40 year career in economic development. Thank you Charlie for your many years of service to our State and our community.

We are exciting about the grand opening of our newly renovated County Highway building. This building represent the pride our Highway Dept has in the work they do for our community.
