Howard University is celebrating its honorary alumnus, Victor Glover (D.Sc. '24), as he made history as the pilot of NASA’s Artemis II mission. Not only is he the first Black person to orbit the Moon, but he and his crew have traveled farther from Earth than any human in history by reaching over 230,000 miles into the cosmos. He continues to embody Howard’s core values of leadership and excellence, proving that for a Bison, even the sky isn’t the limit. Some players lead, some players become the standard and Bryce Harris just did both. The Bison standout has been named the 2025–26 Nolan Richardson Award winner, honoring the “heart and soul” of a program. A five-year leader, MEAC Player of the Year, tournament MVP, and a driving force behind multiple NCAA Tournament runs… Bryce didn’t just play the game, he shifted it. From Brentwood to The Mecca, his impact has been felt in every huddle, every possession, every moment that mattered. This is leadership. This is legacy. This is Howard. Congratulations, Bryce. Well deserved. Full Story on The Dig: thedig.howard.edu/all-stories/br… #HowardUniversity #BisonPride #CollegeBasketball

From the United States to Ghana, the fight for Black maternal health reveals a shared reality where systemic inequities, limited access to care, and preventable outcomes continue to put Black women at risk. Despite different systems, the message was clear… geography may change, but the urgency does not. Through research, storytelling, and cross-cultural dialogue, Howard University is helping connect the dots, amplifying solutions that center equity, access, and the value of Black life at every stage of motherhood. Built on awareness. Driven by advocacy. Connected across borders. This is the standard. Full Story on The Dig: thedig.howard.edu/all-stories/ri… #HowardUniversity

Looking back at a day that reminded us why we’re here. From the halls of 1867 to the stage of 2026, the 159th Charter Day Convocation wasn't just a ceremony ... it was a call to action. We’re still reflecting on the words of Trustee Donald B. Christian: we aren't just beneficiaries of Howard's history; we are the authors of its next chapter. The Hilltop continues to send forth its rays of light. #HowardUniversity #CharterDay2026 #TheMecca
